Progress.

Arduino.

I have been construction the gas sensor with some success and managed to get readings from the Arduino software. I Have tested it by blowing on the sensor which causes CO2 and TVOC levels to spike.

I now need to connect These readings to Ableton to get them to modulate the audio effects.

Ableton

I have found a few guides on how to connect Ableton to Arduino and managed to make some progress. I can only use one reading so the amount of TVOC’s will modulate the signal as this is the most relevant reading.

I managed to get the TVOC reading to modulate a parameter in Ableton which will then modulate more effects. This was my first time using max for live properly so it was very confusing. However i did eventually create a path that made the TVOC amount modulate an audio effect.

Test

I am currently testing the software and hardware to make sure they work correctly together to produce my finished piece. Im doing lots of test to make sure the experiment is as accurate as possible.
